rockers is signed to the label that squired Creed to multiplatinum superstardom.Hoping that you will call me home").The songs, though, are honest and deeply felt, especially when singer Paul McCoy summons a metallic growl and Eric Weaver's sinuous guitar yields memorable melodies and acute solos.Buy the sheet music for 12 stones at Sheet Music Plus. Why not be the first to suggest a search for at least it sounds like they're trying. What made me smile the most about these guys, though, is that while Creed only sprinkle their songs with a few spiritual overtones, 12 Stones are quite a bit more straightforward about their faith.Just by the lyrics, you know they're a Christian band, yet they deliver the message with subtlety. It's nice to see them starting off on a big mainstream label, too."My Life" even made the "Scorpion King" soundtrack. It's worth the price to see for yourself, at least. Was this review helpful to you?Your vote will be counted and will appear on the product page and Eric's Song. The album sounds quite good, but if you're looking for incredible song variety you're looking at the wrong album. So you wont find anything revolutionary or new here, but you will find a decent rock album here with 12 Stones' debut album. Was this review helpful to you?Stones self titled debut album is an album that I think will be around for a while. The album starts off with "Crash" which is a song that has hard edged guitars to off set a slower vocal delivery than you'd expect with such hard guitars."Broken" seems to follow the same format as does "The Way I Feel".It's because of this that many say the album lacks creativity.Good Customer Service and Good Product 12 Stones is truly a talented band and their music definitely has depth to it.CD to those who love music that blends heavy metal rock and alternative.Great First Effort I was greatly impressed by the musicianship of the band.Paul McCoy has a great voice going from soft to screaming (and he can wail).Published 15 months ago by Kevin J.The problem here is I've heard it before...The problem I have with the rest of the album is that it's nothing special, it's nothing great, nothing that makes me want...Good Commercial Rock 12 Stones first cd is actually pretty good. There really isn't anything that groundbreaking here with this release. This cd is lyrically and musically amazing. This cd is very uplifting. This cd is a must buy there is no doubt about it.Broken and The Way I Feel are two in particular that sound good to me.See all 178 customer reviews...What are some of the worst remakes? What 12 Stones.Potter's Field) and touring relentlessly, 12 Stones decided it was time for a break from the road. All of the guys are now fathers, and they spent a good deal of their time away from music with their families. However after a few years away from touring, McCoy says, "I really just couldn't wait to get back to making music."THE INSPIRATION 12 Stones has always thought of themselves as the "underdog" in the music business. All natives of the Gulf region, each member of the band felt the hardships of that fall."We know what it's like to be on the losing end but be making the best of the situation at the same time," McCoy says.THE SONGS 12 Stones did not set out to write an album for those affected by Hurricane Katrina.Still, the loss felt in their local neighborhoods had its obvious effects on the band members, and they were compelled to write about the recovery taking place around them."Anthem for the Underdog" spells out 12 Stones' philosophy for those working hard to get back on top.McCoy sings, "We're here now feeling the beat of a thousand hearts coming back to life again, we can make it."On the other hand, the weather is not the only thing that is uncontrollable.Yet, through all of the loss and pain in these songs, there is still an underlying feeling of triumph in the end."There is a real sense of urgency to get back on top throughout the album," McCoy explains."We know what it's like to be the underdog but that doesn't mean we always will be.It's important to show our fans that things can change, life does get better."Eric Weaver and drummer Aaron Gainer spent months meeting with "big time" writers and producers only to be let down over and over. There was an instant chemistry between 12 Stones, Rimer and Mills, and the band spent the following eight months in Memphis recording Anthem For The Underdog.Rimer has anxiously waited to team up with 12 Stones for years. They both share the same manager, so they have kept up with each other's work from the beginning.Rimer says, "The first song we did was 'It Was You,' and as soon as we played it for everybody it just clicked.Paul definitely wanted to kill me by the end because I had him singing in higher ranges than he had ever sung before.""We had never been so open to criticism or trying new things in the studio as we were when working with Justin. It was great to have someone working with us who really knows their way around a studio," McCoy says of their new guitar player.Weaver also appreciated Rimer's contribution as the second guitarist. He says, "Justin comes from more of a metal background than I do, so it is nice to mix the different flavors of music.Rimer calls playing with 12 Stones "like home."THE FUTURE 12 Stones has been through a great deal in the past few years, but somehow the band has made the best of what they've got and come out the better for it."We are really proud of this collection of songs, and think the fans are going to love it," McCoy continues. If and was included on the Daredevil soundtrack as well as Evanescence's debut album Fallen.Inspired by the effects of Hurricane Katrina on their hometown, 12 Stones recorded Anthem for the Underdog in
