All Time Low was started in the Baltimore County scene around Spring 2003 when local pop punk bands around Baltimore included Supergiant MD, 3 Prong Outlet, Better Than You, The Coincidentals, Adelphi, and Fire in the Hole.They now needed a lead guitarist to compliment Jack and a bassist to complement Rian's drumming to fill out the lineup.These members included TJ Ihle on lead guitar and Chris Cortillio on bass guitar.After the addition of these two members, the lineup was now Alex Gaskarth, Jack Barakat, TJ Ihle, Chris Cortillio and Rian Dawson.TJ Ihle and Chris Cortillio were in the band for two months, TJ Ihle was even the one to name the band, but after two months of performing a cover of the "Friends Theme Song" and writing a few originals including "My Paradise" (written by TJ Ihle and Chris Cortillio), they decided to quit and reform their previous band The Coincidentals.In early 2007, they were on tour with Cute Is What We Aim For, Brighten and This Providence.They also toured with Hit The Lights and Valencia.In April, 2007, the band went into the studio to record a new album, "So Wrong, It's Right", which was released September 25th.The band is currently on the Tourzilla tour with Boys Like Girls, theAUDITION, We The Kings, and Valencia.In 2006, just months before Alex Gaskarth, Jack Barakat, and Rian Dawson graduated from Dulaney High School and Zack Merrick graduated from Towson High School, All Time Low signed with Hopeless Records.Several months later the band released a new EP entitled Put Up or Shut Up on Hopeless Records, containing newly recorded versions of songs from The Party Scene along with two new tracks.At recent concerts, All Time Low has been playing three new tracks, "Dear Maria, Count Me In", "Let It Roll" and an acoustic song, "Remembering Sunday".All Time Low appeared on the compilation albums 'A Tribute to Blink 182' and Punk Goes Acoustic 2 with a cover of the Blink 182 song 'Time to Break up' and an acoustic version of their song "Jasey Rae" respectively.The Baltimore Sun described a recent All Time Low concert at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County's Field House:
"Bathed in red light, the band members vault onto stage, shaggy hair flying.Zack Merrick, his hair sparkling with sweat, gamely wraps his arm around one girl after another and grins at the cameras".All Time Low won four of the Warped Tour: Energizer Encore Contests in which the bands get ten extra minutes of playing time.The cities where the band won the contest in are: Washington, DC; Boston MA; Barrie, ON and; Sacramento, CA.Drummer Rian Dawson is dating a girl named Kara, as confimed through his personal myspace.Contributed "The Party Scene"
