BarlowGirl is known as a Christian rock group.Their songs run the range from ballads to guitar rock.Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him.Instead, fix your attention on God.Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it.They were quoted as saying, "We believe that God has one perfect man already chosen for us; therefore we have no need to worry ourselves in searching for him.When the time is right, we know God will bring us together.In the mean time, we are not hiding in a closet avoiding all males, we are still living our lives, just without the pressure of having to have a boyfriend."BarlowGirl released their first album BarlowGirl on February 24, 2004.R's CHR and CRW's Rock charts, "Never Alone" was named Song of the Year on each of these charts."Never Alone" was also featured on the WOW Hits 2005 CD.The CD also featured a hidden track titled "Image", which listeners could only find by loading the CD into their computers.Their second album, Another Journal Entry, was released on September 27, 2005.Billboard's Top 200 Current Albums chart by October 10, 2005.Contemporary Album of the Year', and 'Rock Recorded Song of the Year' for Let Go.Their next single from the album, "I Need You to Love Me", quickly climbed to number one on the Weekend 22 countdown in April 2006.Christian Hit Radio chart for 9 weeks, and the CRW Christian Hit Radio chart for a record 13 weeks.It features all 11 tracks from Another Journal Entry and five bonus tracks consisting of: one brand new song ("For The Beauty of the Earth", which was also featured on the soundtrack to the movie The Nativity Story), three acoustic versions of BarlowGirl hits ("I Need You To Love Me", "Porcelain Heart", and "On My Own"), and a radio edit of "Never Alone".Also included on the disk was their "Never Alone" music video in QuickTime format.Fan Pack' was also released, with a bonus "More Than Music" book and sticker.BarlowGirl's third studio album was released on July 24, 2007.BarlowGirl partnered with longtime producer Otto Price.The first single off of the album is "Here's My Life".It was released in June 2007.National Day of Prayer 2007

would like to address a negative review I saw on this site: I believe the message of "NOT DATING" is that boys and girls should not look for a possible life partner until they have figured who they are and where they are going in their own life.Nice attempt at creating something different, but I'm not sure success was found.The lyrics are not the problem in this song.As the father of two girls who attend Peer Pressure High School (at least that should be the name of the school), the lyrics in this song hit home hard.Even girls brought up in a loving Christian home can be a victim of idolizing these stars and their fame appeal.Many times we cry out to the Lord we know is there.We feel Him at times so strongly it is amazing, and at times we can barely sense his presence.Good beat, good flow, and soft voices make this song a treat to listen to.Great message, but not much BAM in this one.Give this one to Mac Powell of Third Day and he could make it work, even if it is a slow ballad."Why can't we be God's superstars?"This CD needs to be listened to by every teenager in America.Too many people worry about what everyone else thinks about them, but ignore what God is probably worried about.Music falls just barely short of the lyrics on this one.You have to by the CD and see for yourself.Do ya'll (Barlow Girl) think my daughters could hang out with girls for a few weeks?C'mon ladies, just because it is a slow song doesn't mean you can't sing hard.This is the weakest song on the CD and I think it would have been better to just leave it off.Sorry, sometimes I am dreadfully honest.Overall, the CD is great.Six or seven of the songs are outstanding and a few could be better than the finished product.CD for my youngest daughter, and I don't regret it one bit.Was reviewed this and didn't understand the "no dating" issue.Barlow Girls do not believe in dating.However, an alternative to dating is called courtship.Courtship is when you look for a man to have a special relationship with for the SOLE purpose of finding out if you want to marry him.If you find you do not want to marry him, you break off the special relationship and return to friendship only.This is different from dating because dating means you are using each other for physical pleasure and have no goal in mind but momentary fun and if you happen to get married...Usually, courtship is by and under the girl's father's supervision.This keeps everyone safe from broken hearts and sexual sin.So for those who were confused...Barlow Girls expect to be married by arranged marriage or something.It means that they are taking a stand against selfish, momentary, pointless dating and keeping themselves (including their hearts) pure for their husband.Just like the Church is called to do for Jesus!This is really an impressive album both in terms of lyrics and musical quality.Even though the sound is really good, it takes a back seat to the lyrics.As a parent of a teenage daughter, I couldn't ask for better music lyrically.If you are are a parent and are looking for a good CD to buy your daughter, get this one.The sound is far superior to most mainstream pop.See all 71 customer reviews...Barlow Girl to be terminally cute.This is a very good quality project.One of my favorite Christian CDs.Some say those 2 are cheesy, but I STRONGLY disagree.The messages of all the songs really ring true.These girls sure can sing and play.It's a lot better than the 2nd one because it has better songs on it.This is a great girl group and they sound pretrty good.But this music is
