| Estrella Morente (Estrella de la Aurora Morente Carbonell) was born on August 14, 1980 in Las Gabias, Granada.She has been performing with her father since age 7 and recorded her first album in 2001, Mi Cante Y Un Poema (My Songs and A Poem).This was quickly followed by Calle del Aire the same year, which was well received by critics and flamenco fans alike.All text is available under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License.See Copyrights for details.Estrella Morente was born to sing flamenco.Her father, Enrique Morente, is a legendary singer, her mother, Aurora Carbonell, a dancer.Some of these people appear on her debut album which was produced by her father, Enrique.At other times, the arrangement is more sophisticated.It opens with flamenco guitar and clapping.Flamenco guitar comes in, together with vocal backing.This is one of the best songs on the album.The chorus is lovely too, consisting of a list of place names.Estrella Morente, though she handled most of the arrangements on the others.Spartan guitar and voice format, with a more gently wavering vocal.Kara Kellar Bell
