died yesterday from the injuries sustained when their bus collided with a truck, while on tour in Russia.Vitek was a true talent and drummer genious and his passing is just so very very wrong!We regrettably have to inform you that we have been forced to pull out of the November Euro tour with The Dillinger Escape Plan.The main one being the fact that the album recording has taken longer than what was originally planned.In light of this we choose to not do a tour that could compromise the outcome of the album as well as possibly delaying the release even more.Tourdates will be posted shortly!We're doing an unannounced show here in Budapest at 9pm tonight at Kultiplex!Czech date added this summer!The Meshuggah beings have transmitted to me their intent to have a new website up and running at the latest by the time of the new album release!Another little something for you drummers out there!Vic Firth has released a Tomas Haake signature stick!Meshuggah have been nominated for a Swedish Grammy in the category "Hardrock" for their Catch ThirtyThree release.Other nominees this year are Opeth, Candlemass, Hammerfall and Hardcore superstar.To all the fans who came to the show in Detroit only to find it cancelled....We showed up for the show at load in, hoping to work something out but were unable to come to an agreement that would work for all parties involved in the tour.UK and never missing an offbeat.All the touring Meshuggah have done during the 4+ years since they last played in Norway must have done them good.Songs are performed pretty straight forward, with the exception of the occasional drum fill from Tomas.Nice seeing Meshuggah headline for the first time, which means the set is a lot longer.Please keep in mind that these dates are VERY preliminary!!They are friends of ours and they're really nice guys so this should be a peaceful and "happy go lucky" tour hahahaha....Just writing to apologize for not updating the page and checking in with you all in such a long fucking time.We had a blast going through the States on both
the Ozzfest and opening up for Tool.As always being on the road with Tool is just insanely fun.Being from freezing Sweden the heat was probably the only thing we had a hard time dealing with on that tour.The whole tour is just a big party
and something quite unique to have been a part of.As for the future we're looking at a small Scandinavian tour in March followed by a US Headline tour
