the world's largest selling home video combined with soaring album sales.In 1983 Michael performed the now legendary moonwalk for the first time
on the 'Motown 25 years' anniversary show.In 1994 Michael married Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of rock legend Elvis
Presley.Houston, Usher, Destinys Child, Shaggy and many more performed there own
and Michael Jacksons past songs.Michael then went onto perform

of the album.Jackson 5 are also notable for launching the careers of their lead singers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael.Within a year, however, Michael and Marlon joined the band forming the principal lineup of the group.Jackson 5 hits were crafted chiefly by Hal Davis.Significantly, they were the first black teen idols to appeal equally to white audiences.The group took control of their songwriting, production, and image, and their success continued into the 1980s with hits such as "Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)" and "State of Shock", and the highly successful Victory Tour.Relationships and marriages
1.Already showing talent as a singer and dancer, almost immediately after adding Michael and Marlon, it became clear that Michael was their main attraction.Shirley Cartman got the Jackson Five a record deal with Gordon Keith's local Steeltown label, and the group began making their first recordings in 1967.During this period, Johnny Jackson (no relation) on drums and Ronnie Rancifer on keys replaced Milford Hite and Reynaud Jones.Teenagers, and soul shouters like Wilson Pickett, Jackie Wilson, Stevie Wonder, Joe Tex and James Brown.Joseph and the Jackson Five stayed on the floor of Bobby Taylor's Detroit apartment the night of July 22, while Taylor and Motown executive Suzanne de Passe arranged for the Jackson Five to audition for the label.Berry Gordy was not in attendance, but the audition was videotaped and sent to him in Los Angeles.Gordy's initial reluctance to sign the group disappeared when he finally saw the boys perform.Motown began negotiations to buy out the Jackson Five's Steeltown contract, completing the deal in March 1969.In the meantime, Motown's marketing team began preparing press kits and other promotion material to begin the Jackson 5's entrance into the mainstream music industry.In a major marketing coup, Gordy and Motown decided to attach the group to an established star to increase public curiosity.The song made young Michael famous for his excellent voice at such an early age.Want You Back" was the only single from the Jackson 5's first album, Diana Ross Presents the Jackson 5, which was released in December 1969."Jacksonmania" swept the nation, and within a year of their debut the Jackson 5 were among the biggest names in popular music.The Jackson 5 starred in two of their own television specials, Goin' Back to Indiana (aired September 16, 1971) and The Jackson 5 Show (aired November 5, 1972).Michael also sang the title track for the 1972 motion picture Ben.Michael Jackson's biographer, J.Tito was the first Jackson brother to marry, marrying his high school girlfriend Dee Dee in June 1972.Ebony, and Jet, and the two were married at a gala wedding ceremony held on December 15, 1973 at the Beverly Hills Hotel.Decline

'Does the world really need another Jackson Five Compilation...As soon as that immediately recognizable piano groove that starts 'I Want You Back' came on it brought a smile to my face.That was quickly followed by 'ABC', ''The Love You Save', 'Mama's Pearl', 'Never Can Say Goodbye' and all of the rest, in exactly the sequence that you would expect.Jacksons (backed by MFSB).Blame it on the Boogie', 'Shake Your Body Down To The Ground'....Then I open up the book that comes with the CD and I can see that there are some great pictures in there not only of the early Jackson Five, but these are juxtaposed against some equally great pictures of the Jacksons from the late 70's and early 80's..Lovely One', 'This Place Hotel', Can You Feel It', 'Don't Stop Till You Get Enough', 'Billie Jean'...Then I look at the liner notes and it all starts to become clearer as to why we need this compilation...There were sections for Rock, Pop, Country, Jazz, Classical, Hip Hop, Children's Music, Christian, Opera, Broadway, etc.As you might imagine one of the changes I made was to get rid of these 'artist specific areas'.Tonight I watched the two hour documentary on Michael Jackson, and the 1 hour recap which was broadcast afterwards on the ABC TV network.As I watched, my mind kept going back to that time and the response I had given to one particular person who had written in to complain about the elimination of the Michael Jackson area on the Prodigy Music Homepage.All I know is that personally as I watched him and listened to him talk, I know that I sure as hell wished that he was.....NP: "Stop The Love You Save May Be Your Own..."The reissue set's bonus track, "Oh, I've Been Blessed," is on CD for the first time.It was recorded during the sessions for their debut and briefly issued on the album Boogie in 1979 before being withdrawn.B) and selling more than four million copies.The Jacksons: An American Dream)."Love Song," is another bonus for the reissue set.Both bonus tracks are on CD for the first time.They burst upon the scene in 1969 as a fresh faced self contained band with a tremendous lead singer who happened to be just 10 years old at the time.They dressed like hippies and wore huge Afros that seemed to touch the sky.America fell in love with the Jackson Five!The world fell in love with the Jackson Five!The Jackson Five toured the world!The Jackson Five had their own cartoon series on network TV!The Jackson Five had their own variety show on network TV!Jackson Five Jackson Five Reunion?LARGE "nostalgia" market for a Jackson Five 3 hour concert, featuring 1.Sister Sledge (for example)?Although it's a compilation, anyone here that is a Jackson Five fan should really treat this one as if it's really a BRAND NEW ALBUM!!!!!!!!!The "sound" was awful because it was on TV and because of the crowd noise
The Jackson Five's cover of Sly's "Sing a Simple Song" is SUPER FUNKY and song "Can You Remember" (with Micheal on lead) is as badd a slow jam as ANYTHING that was done by Barbara Mason, Brenda and the Tabulations, Ponderosa Twins, Five Stairsteps or comparable groups at the same time.Just take my word for it and go out and buy this CD because it's going to be one of my top ten CD's of the year!!!!!!!Lookin' Through The Windows
21.As part of our weekend, we go to a Jackson 5 concert held at the Myriad Convention Center in OKC.Commodores, are the opening act.Our excuse for going to the concert is, Pam wants to take her two young godsons, who are, of course, crazy about the boys in the Jackson 5.So Pam, Jan (her friend), and I, with two kids in tow, head for the concert.But the killing thing, the cutest thing, the most NORMAL thing, was Michael, who ran back, peeped around the corner, smiled and waved at us before getting snatched back in.Commodore's rooms that night.Life Of The Party, The
