Persefone began as a band which was playing covers, most notably of Arch Enemy, In Flames and Dark Tranquillity.However, this felt insufficient, and work was done to write the first song ever: Niflheim (The eyes that hold the edge), which gave the first ideas on how the sound of Persefone should sound like.This marked the beginning of Persefone.Official

with the band.After an entire year of knocking down the doors of every f***ng record label around the world, we've finally been able to secure a deal for the fantastic "Core" album by Andorra'n metallers Persefone.This album was released amlmost a year ago in Asia, with aswesome reviews in Burrn!Magazine and other big Japanese press.Now finally Burning Star Records from Greece have been able to realise the potential of this great band, and will be releasing "Core" in the rest of the world (Europe, North America, South America, Australia) in September.The idea behind making the songs into shorter parts was done with the objective of making it easier to digest for the listener and also provide radiostations with the possibility of airing the album.Soundholic Records in Japan have decided to continue with Persefone since the debut album went really well with the Japanese audience.The release will be in September this year and includes a special bonus track (a cover version of Megadeth's "Train of Consequences").We're still working at other territories.We have been working on the new album "Core" for two years (planning the concept, developing and composing it and the
