a9AdsViewNamespace.No one has tagged this product for Amazon search yet.Earlier you may have noticed that I said guys and gal.After there set was over I noticed that they were selling copies of their original debut cd so I went over and bought a copy and they took the time to personalize and autograph every cd for those who bought one.It was a blast as their music rocked and getting their autographs was great.Now onto the the review for their 2007 debut cd.This is a great riff driven groove with a strong foundation in classic rock.All of the music here is designed to get you out of your chair and this one should work as well as the rest.It also has a great chorus and a cool breakdown.In The Dark
This song is a ballad and what we get is a tasty, bluesy ballad that starts with a retro keyboard texture.This reminds me a bit of old Grand Funk, but with a more modern sound mixed into the arrangement.The classic sound that pervades the guitar solo here is stellar, also.The piano segment adds a nice touch.The powerhouse arrangement that takes the number after this is one of the best segments of the whole album.War on Gravity
This song has an intro here reminds me of Cheap Trick.They drop it way back for the verses and the cut has a texture that sort of harkens back to 1950's hard rock, but with a modern flare.This is another song that shows some variety and is another highlight.Monkey
This song is faster and just a little funky, it starts off with just vocals.After a verse they power it out into one of the more modern alternative rock sounds of the disc, but this doesn't last long as a new rocking riff takes over leading us into another killer dose of the band's trademarked hard rock sound.This has a great retro sound on the chorus.The ending of the song is truly amazing.Spy
This song uses a title that anyone that has read mad magazine should know.It's dynamic, powerful and just plain fun.Maybe they should have closed with a more with something more rocking, but then again with so many killer rocking tracks already its nice to have a song to bring you down from all the excitement and catch your breath.It does rock out a bit more toward the end.Hidden Track
This song is a hard rocker and is a bit punky and quite cool and has a killer guitar solo.It definitely makes for a nice little treat, but they should have put it into the regular rotation rather than making it a hidden track where people might miss it.Well there you have it my review of this killer album.Was this review helpful to you?Your vote will be counted and will appear on the product page within 24 hours."It's a bit of a throwback ride, but no so much so that it doesn't sound modern.If you like bands that can jam and rock hard, this is definitely a cd for you to pick up!The next great rock band is here.See, that just doesn't happen here.And the magic spills out onto the street after the show: the crowd doesn't leave.They hang around, sweaty and smiling, talking about how Poets are the next great rock band.The more you play it, the more you love it.It's everything you want from a great rock album, and I personally think it's destined to become a classic.This band LOVES to play rock, and their love for the music comes shining through on the CD.It's hard to capture that kind of energy on a CD, but they've done it.The CD rocks out with an intelligent range of tunes and arrangements, so every song is interesting.In other words, I can't decide which is my favorite: it keeps changing.Check out "Rock and Roll", "Get your Kicks", "My Devils Song", "War on Gravity" and the secret bonus tune at the end of the last track.You want sexy, steamy heat?You want an infectious bass line?In other words, every person in this band is a rockstar in their own right: musically accomplished, strong in stage performance and well, really hot to look at.If you long for a rock album that you want to play over and over and absolutely fall in love with, this is it.Was this review helpful to you?Best Band EVER in the History of EVERNESS

When it comes to 80s rock L.Sunset Strip is legendary, responsible for giving birth to the best and the worst of heavy metal.Pornstars plan on changing that.Singer Hal Ozsan has a soulful blues voice like that of Little Caesar's Ron Young and the rest of the band follow along with infectious rhythms and memorable riffs.The second half of the disc finds the group expanding their sound with varied results.This type of music has been done before, and no doubt will be attempted many more times, but it's the type of music that always stays fresh.Reviewed by Skid for Sleaze Roxx, August 2007.Buy The CD:
