He signed with Elektra in 1995, recording Everything You Want the following year with a set of superstar songwriters and producers behind him.In 1997, he performed in a television special with his sister, but despite the mainstream attention, he was dropped by Elektra soon after.His easygoing image and boyish looks appealed to the producers of Brandy's television show, Moesha, scoring him a role on the popular UPN series starting in 1999.He also started producing, putting together the music for several commercials and a few of the demos for his second record.In 1997 he also released his debut album "Everything You Want", which spawned two singles.But the second single was no big succes.The song managed only to peak at number 54 on the U.Dolittle soundtrack single That's Why I Lie in UK, only.He played the half brother of Moesha Mitchell, who is portrayed by his sister Brandy, the star of the show.Dorian, Moesha, and their little brother Miles were mad at Frank for some time.They learned she had two other children, but they weren't adopted.It managed to peak in the lower half of the charts in Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Great Britain.With the songs "Die with out You" and "Another Day In Paradise" he appeared vocally on Full Moon too.Raydiation eventually sold over 400,000 copies domestically.Tha Knock Out

a9AdsViewNamespace.Actually, to be honest, Ray J really isn't a bad singer.And "Sexy" is a sexual song gone wrong that features vocals from Mya, of all people."War Is Over" (the obligatory song with Brandy) and a tribute to your hometown ("Centerview").Kelly production "Quit Actin'", which I think was better when it was called "Wait a Minute".Although this album is flawed, I still think Ray J would have a better chance if he didn't try to do things with his voice that he's just not capable of.Raydiation is better than This Ain't a Game, but that really isn't saying much.We all know Ray J does not have the best voice infact he can't sing at all, but give the man some credit he did his thang on this album..Raydiation is Ray J's latest attempt at establishing a formidable singing career like his big sis Brandy.Besides that, Ray J has had to rely heavily on his acting career and hosting duties on BET for anybody to be aware of his existence.But if Raydiation is the first time hearing his "vocal prowess," then you're in for a huge surprise (and not one of those good surprises either).But no matter who he's compared to, practically nobody sings as bad as Ray J.He tries in vain at getting philosophical on "War Is Over" featuring Brandy.But I think Ray J's main problem is trying to sound convincing enough to believe any of the sexual suggestions that he puts on his songs.Like the songs "In The Mood," "Exotic," and first single "One Wish" might be good if somebody else sung the songs, but unfortunately they are all done ineffectively by Ray J.Mya, "Unbelievable," "Let's Play House" and "Keep Sweatin" with Fat Joe should have never been included on the cd at all.Like the medical treatment that some people have to endure, this Raydiation is something nobody wants to ever deal with in their lifetime.Was this review helpful to you?THIS IS NOT A GREAT ALBUM.The World Ain't Ready 4 Ray J
