02.Reverend Bizarre was founded in 1994.Lohja, a small industrial town in southern Finland, witnessed the wall of sound created by doomsters Albert Magus, Peter Vicar and Juippi. After the three fellows had returned from the army, Peter had to move to the city of Turku. At the same time Juippi"s habit with certain stimulants started to affect his playing. It soon became impossible for the Reverends to carry on as they were.Luckily enough, Albert moved to Turku in the summer of 1998.Two doomsters Magus and Vicar realized it was time to resurrect Reverend Bizarre. To complete their unholy union they joined with Alberts old band mate Earl of Void, who had just been released from the prison. To promote their mission they recorded their first demo, "Slice of Doom", in three days. What happened in 16th, 17th and 23rd of August 1999, was a solid foundation for their mission of spreading the old school Doom Metal.Reverend Bizarre is Finlands first and only old school doom metal band. One of the ways to accomplish this is their new promotional CD, Slice of Doom, which they are sending to some promising record companies in hope of signing a record deal. Also it seems necessary to contact all known and survived doom zines.Reverend Bizarre tries to travel to the fountains of true HEAVY metal in fashion of Sabbathian classics, such as Saint Vitus, Pentagram, Witchfinder General, Trouble, The Obsessed and others...The main principle is that exact rules give you musical and lyrical space, where to develop your own expression."It is truly impossible task to publish this kind of music in Finland.Holy Parish of Doom as soon as possible.Reverend Bizarre would stop believing in their message and the power of real music. After the release of "So Long Suckers" there is now the final nail knocked on the coffin of Reverend Bizarre.Add this banner to your own profile! For more information and related projects go to Hellride forum, here you can find lots of information.Questions and comments are welcome!"Are you sure you want to delete this comment?"Reverend Bizarre will be always in our black hearts!FUCK XMAS, DOOM OVER A DOOMED WORLD!!!Each day a new song on our myspace profile.Greeting from SERAPHIM Taiwan!Hi there, thanks for adding!May we ask what your favourite track of ours is?Gwanggaeto the Great of Goguryeo..Review of so long suckers now up at metal centre.Keep on hailing the great Reverend Bizarre !!They shall be remembered !Thanks much for the add.RB the best band on Earth!!Swords of Mars, Hanging Garden + DJ:t, Visuaalit, leffaa..."Urgent Security Alert","Warning: You are submitting information to an outside site. This is not a MySpace login page, please do not enter your MySpace login information (email address or password).Do you wish to continue your form submission?"Id + " Link: " + targetLink.Hello, you either have JavaScript turned off or an old version of Adobe's Flash Player. This video has been added to your favorites. The video has been added to your playlist. This video will appear on your blog shortly.Thank you for flagging this video.Content of this nature is not necessarily prohibited on YouTube, however we will review this video and take action as appropriate.Per our Community Guidelines, hate speech is specifically defined in reference to "protected groups."Please refer to our Help Center for more information and the complete instructions.Thank you for sharing this video!Change this to see only comments above a certain value.Change the value of a comment by clicking on a thumb.Too bad it's all over now for Reverend Bizarre.Great video, too bad they called it quits.Would you like to comment? The code changes based on your selection.Kokoonpano

03.It feels strange to be describing a band that in its death throes is releasing music. What strange phantasmagoria is this?Reverend Bizarre was Doom.Such is a behavioral pattern suited for a band that will most likely achieve a cult status. The band that achieved a cult status also made the Finnish official single charts. No small feat, that one.Yes, they have played doom metal in Finnish national radio. As all things must come to an end, so did Reverend Bizarre, at what could have been called the height of their career. The band played their last performance in December 2006, and announced it will cease its existence after the release of one more album. This postmortal requiem consists of 130 minutes of puritanist doom, as excellent as ever, and was quoted by Albert Witchfinder himself to possibly be their best work ever. |
