| John Lawton (born July 11, 1946 in Halifax, England) is a rock and roll and blues vocalist best known for his work with Lucifer's Friend, Uriah Heep and the Les Humphries Singers.With Lucifer's Friend

2.John had the privilege to have worked with some of the finest record producers, including Tony Clarke (Moody Blues), Jimmy Miller (Rolling Stones), Harold Faltermayer (Pet Shop Boys), who produced the titles John sang on the Lenny McDowell Project "Lost Paradise"."Line of Fire" and "Eagles Flight", moving on to Volker Barber's classical project "Excalibur".Les Humphries Singer's favourites, the big '70 s hit "Mama Loo", in January '98.John was joined by former Heep keyboarder Ken Hensley, for the first time 21 years after John's departure from Heep in 1979!With them were Paul Newton (Heep's original bassist), and 2 members of John's band Reuben Kane on lead guitar and Justin Shefford on drums.After extensive touring, during Spring and Summer of 2001, culminating with a concert in Hamburg, Germany, featuring a full orchestra and a new rendition of Heep's old classic "Salisbury", both Ken and John return to their respective solo careers.Magician's Birthday Party at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London.DVD, is recorded in 2002, which is followed in 2003 by JLB's "Sting In The Tale" CD, an original studio rock album.Focus) to form the On The Rocks project.Xande Figueiredo on drums, and Marvio Ciribelli on keyboards.John and Jan have written and recorded the tracks for an upcoming debut album that will be released soon.Studio albums

saw that the man from the couple next to me had three Uriah Heep albums in his hand,
Firefly, Innocent Victim and Fallen Angel.They were visting her Dutch family.They already went to
Gerolshofen to see Uriah Heep.We went to him and asked him
to sign our albums.And with the five of us we followed the
rest of soundcheck and listened to Easy Livin'.Eetcafe of De Boerderij.There we met
some other Heepsters like Nico and Jan the brother of Erik.The leader of the band is Jan Rijbroek, he
looks a little bit like Mick Box, and he sings a little bit like Roger Chapman.The show ended 2
hours later with Gypsy.After saying goodbye to the band I went home. |
