today!Original members Guy and Kevin asked Gunface to join the line up in 2000 to add an additional guitar player while Greg would eventually be invited to fill the bass position.At this point The Red Chord became one of the most talked about bands in the underground.The Red Chord found current drummer Brad in late 2004 and began to finalize new material for the debut release on Metal Blade Records.Signing with Metal Blade earlier last year, The Red Chord has been cited as one of the most influential crossover bands of the hardcore, grind and metal genres.They have been referenced, featured or interviewed in the majority of pertinent heavy music periodicals including Revolver, AP, Metal Hammer, Terrorizer, Unrestrained, Decibel and Brave Words and Bloody Knuckles.Fans as well as fellow musicians have been waiting quite some time for the follow up to the bands highly successful Fused Together in Revolving Doors making Clients one of the most anticipated releases of 2005 and this album will in no way let anyone down.To accompany the massive and fierce sound of the album renowned artist Paul Romano, known for his work with bands like Mastodon, Nasum, Godflesh, and Dead To Fall, was brought on board to handle all the aspects of the artwork, which include portraits of each "client" mentioned in the album.My imagination is flying.And there are millions just like him.Why not be the first to suggest a search for which it should appear?See all 349 customer reviews...The easiest way to shoot video reviews.The only problem with it was when bands (i.The Red Chord completely changed their sound."Clients" is at least five times smarter and more "mathy," intricate, complex, and unpredictable than the band's debut.The Red Chord of old (circa 2002) meets Cephalic Carnage meets Dillinger Escape Plan meets Burnt By The Sun.The Red Chord have finally found their niche (the type of music they are supposed to play and are best at).The band members have clearly improved their own musicianship, because these eleven songs effortlessly flow through innumerable tempo changes without ever sounding forced.See, each song is a different "client," or person who suffers from a mental ailment.The ailments range from schizophrenia to multiple personality disorder to extreme obsessive compulsive disorder.It is fueled by a rocketing tempo, surging guitars (including lots of pick squeals), jarring, roaring vocals, and thunderous, driving, lightning fast blast beats."Antman" is sure to become a mosh pit favorite, because it is an extremely punishing hardcore beatdown with pummeling drums.Next up is "Upper Decker," which is probably the record's highpoint.The Red Chord clearly took a few cues from bands like Metallica for this song, because it is a very melodic and delicate instrumental piece with an epic running time (it's almost seven and a half minutes long), and a wealth of sterling melodic guitar leads and gorgeous, docile twin guitar harmonies.The only downside to "Clients" is that it has so many tempo changes, dissonant sounds, and so few hooks that it is no where near as easy to listen to or digest as "Fused Together In Revolving Doors."Was this review helpful to you?When I buy cds offline, they are usually promo cds.It sure seemed that way.This cd is a steal for ten dollars, and it will increase in price soon.This band is going be huge very soon.See all 30 customer reviews...How does it feel to know you'll be destroyed?Which can be observed in their lyrics and music videos.This is by far one of the worst cds I have ever heard.This singer is terrible and should be shot with a very heavy animal tranquilizer.Published 17 months ago by L.One of the few good metalcore bands
Most metalcore blows.Yes, that's you,Atreyu,Bleeding Through,Underoath,A7X,and Terror.But there are a handful of good ones, such as Despised Icon, New Chimaira(avoid ther old...This album is nothing but noise.What word should I add "core" to?Something a bit different
