| Thy Majestie is an Italian power metal band.These were Maurizio Malta, Giovanni Santini, Michele Cristofalo and Dario Grillo.Thy Majestie composed new material which was recorded in March 1999 titled Perpetual Glory which was highly praised by Italian metal magazines.In March 2000 they started on their debut album The Lasting Power which was finished in April 2000.On September 2001 LIMB Music (who produced Rhapsody) took notice of Thy Majestie but could not sign a deal with them because they already had a deal with Scarlet Music to record two albums.On January 2002 Thy Majestie was contacted by Thomas Youngblood to support him on his European tour with his Kamelot which was a great chance for Thy Majestie but they could not afford travel expenses and they had to record another album 2 months later.But in October 2004, Gabriele left as well "due to personal reasons" (one of them, the distance between Grilli's hometown, Varese, and Palermo, where all the others members of the band, as well as Dario Grillo, live).Still, one song was released with Gabriele on vocals, namely a demo version of The Siege of Paris, later to appear on the Jeanne d'Arc album.Shortly thereafter, Giulio Di Gregorio (also in Irencros) was announced as the new singer.Thy Majestie album, Jeanne d'Arc, which is a concept album about the French heroine Jeanne d'Arc.Italian member of Thy Majestie), the 30 of September 2006 it was announced that Thy Majestie's first vocalist, Dario Grillo would be returning to the band (thus restoring what the band claimed to be "the true Thy Majestie").Dario Grillo's return,however, was doomed to fail: the same problems experienced four years earlier produced another separation,this time a definitive one.This page was last modified 14:52, 2 December 2007.All text is available under the terms of the GNU Free Documentation License.La pagina corrente utilizza i frame."Are you sure you want to block this user?Credit Card or your Paypal account!!!Scarlet Records from September 30th 2002.Dario Grillo and Giovanni Santini leave the band

...They are quite different.Very inventive power metal.Yeah, it's like Rhapsody of Fire, but less cheesy, and they actually have real talent.Jeanne d'arc yet, I ordered it recently and waiting for it :P
HAstings 1066 is a great album though and Im expecting a lot of Jeanne D'arc I wish I won't be disapointed...Dragonland, then Thy Majestie, Blind Guardian, Rhapsody and Sonata Arctica wich is my favorite...For those of you who like Thy Majestie, try to look for Dragonland...Lmao, Thy Majestie is a very good band, but they just cannot be compared to Rhapsody.While I like some songs from Jeanne, I find it kind of unoriginal, unlike its predecessor.Jeanne Darc is simply stunning.Web Site Support

becoming an overall better sounding band.We wanted to use a historical
concept that was true.That's why we wrote an album like Hastings
1066.How much research did you have to do for the album?We did A LOT of research for this album.CD, so I haven't seen all the lyrics yet, so I
was wondering if you could tell me what the focus is in regards to 1066.We haven't tried to cover the whole event because it is a very large
story of history.So we tried to concentrate our focus on the very
battle because it is the main theme of the story of England we think.The Roman age is previous to the Medieval,
and perhaps we will do something on the Romans in the future.That's why we
try to listen to ancient music and Medieval music.Where I am we don't have a section where you can find Medieval
music.We tried to do a concept
that was very powerful because we are talking about a battle.At Finnvox we had all the mastering, because we recorded the album in
Rome.Well, firstly we compose the song with in mind the idea of choirs,
because the choirs are a part of our songs.It's only a trial of
course, and we hope to get this aim, this goal.Thy Majestie apart from, or ahead of, the rest of
the pack?Hollywood Metal and I think we are, yes Medieval and impressive
too.Even if we aren't going to challenge
any bands, because we don't want to challenge anyone.My English is not
very good, I hope you understand me.Again you mentioned Rhapsody.Symphony X or Dream Theatre or other progressive bands, Shadow Gallery.Do you think choirs are one of the main elements that set you
apart as well?Not as much as you guys do, that's for sure.We are trying to do something that is very similar to opera style.Thy Majestie to sustain itself
from those people?Well, we were born listening to glam music, and to the heavy metal of
the eighties.Have you learned or played live or planned to record any other
band's songs to cover?So what bands have most influenced you?Do you still listen to the bands you grew up with in the eighties?He is a very good guitar player, and I always listen to his albums.Does Thy Majestie have any tour plans?How receptive is your local scene to Thy Majestie?Italy needs to work a lot to reach the level of
listening of Germany or even France and Spain.For example, in Spain
people listen to many bands of Heavy Metal.But, in Italy we have good
Heavy Metal bands but they don't spread out.Also related to your new album, I was wondering and also hoping that
perhaps you would be planning to do a video for one of the songs.Has there been any talk of maybe doing one or is it something that
hasn't been discussed?We haven't talked about it with our producer, but it
is a dream of ours so we are going to talk to him about this project.Even in the lyrics of the songs we are very different, more
major I think.I'm a normal boy and don't consider myself a star.Do you have dreams of one day making your entire living and your
entire career just playing music?And would that be a different style of music than Thy Majestie?And how long have you been playing guitar anyway?Was that your first
instrument or did you play another one before that?Well sometimes I play acoustic, but the acoustic
guitar on our album was recorded by the singer.I'd like to play on my solo album.They are very powerful and very various in the
lyrics and in the song writing.There are many songs from the first album that I
