Christie fan for years and will try to keep this site updated.Besucht unser neues Forum!!!!!!!Check out Ronnie's brand new pod cast section and download this weeks cast!Tony Christie was born Anthony Fitzgerald on Easter Sunday April 25th 1943 in Conisbrough South Yorkshire.He attended Balby Street Junior and Northcliffe Schools leaving when he was 15 to study accountancy.He married Sue 25th feb 1967 after working with bands and as a solo singer the turning point came in 1969 when he signed to MCA records.This record deal gave Tony the chance to work with Mitch Murray and Peter Callander and within a year had two major hits with Las Vegas and I Did What I Did For Maria, which was just the begining.Tony sold more than 10 million records worldwide and was a guest on almost every major tv show in europe.Die Golden Europa by german radio for his outstanding performance in showbusness.Sell out tours continued then in 1998 Tony was sent a demo of a song by Jarvis Cocker called Walk Like A Panther.Tony Christie was not dead !!!!It was back to germany and golfing in Spain untill Tony got a phonecall from Peter Kaye...Tony Christie is back !!!!!The album takes Tony back to his musical roots singing the old standards and swing music that he cut his teeth doing through the sixties before turning to pop music.That
