Growing up in Compton, California, TQ formally revealed his music during the 2Pac era; in which controversy surrounding his Westside inspired lyrics censored and hindered the radio play and award eligibility most likely he would have received.Despite this TQ never stopped expressing.America won't be able to accept.In retrospect, sending me saved my life.Aretha Franklin and Stevie Wonder.Coming of Age, who had a hit with the ballad "Coming Home to Love".After two album releases, the group went their separate ways.January 1999 saw TQ explode onto the UK music scene with smash hit "Westside".TQ's success continued in May, when They Never Saw Me Coming was released.Singles "Bye Bye Baby" and "Better Days" followed later that year.In 2000 the UK release of a new album, The Second Coming further proved TQ's talent.Record company's interference saw the album release turn into a bit of a shambles.After this, TQ joined Cash Money Records.TQ eventually left Cash Money and independently released Listen in 2004, in America.It was later released in the UK.This will be his 4th solo album.In November 2007, TQ released the previously unreleased Gemini album for sale online, via a message on his myspace page.Mike Mosley of Steady Mobbin Productions."Mike and I really like and respect each other," TQ acknowledged."Darling Mary" is a playful ode to urban life's blunted reality; "When I Get Out," a pulsating ballad between TQ and Ericka Yancey, about an incarcerated brother's insecurity when it comes to his lover on the outside.Westside
TQ's most significant hit was Westside, an homage to West Coast musicians.Acting
TQ has also branched out into acting.His first film release, Rockin' Meera, is due out Summer 2007.He has also completed a film with Sally Anthony, The Devil's Grind.It seems to be a film for Sally Anthony's single "CMOM CMON"."Celebrate"
