again in a few months.This time, I'd make sure to bring
along anyone I could muster.Vital Remains fan for many years, and have been
rooting for them to succeed.Hollywood in support for their new album, Dechristianize,
headlining a tour.This was something I definitely could
not miss.Die, Cattle Decapitation, and The Black Dahlia Murder.The night ended far too soon.Vital Remains is well worth the road
trip!Vital Remains, featuring Glenn
Benton on vocals.First up was Ornament of
Disgrace, a perpetual St.Louis metal show opener and
good friends of mine.Morbid Angel and Dissection, and they even

lyrics to learn.Tim Yeung and Dave Suzuki utterly shred
apart their instruments.God has really done it this time!Even more impressive is the
stellar guitar work by Tony Lazaro.Lazaro shines when he slows the
pace, and breaks out unexpectedly intriguing leads.Suzuki is a man possessed behind the kit with some of the
fastest blasts I've ever heard.This is actually the shortest song on
the album, at 5:46, not counting the intro.Vital Remains is backing up the truck
a few times to make sure you're crushed completely.Entwined By Violence pushes the epic bar up even higher
over the course of its 10 full minutes.I'd be forced to reconsider.Vital Remains fans but one thing
stands out: the drum sound is huge.Dave Suzuki is one of
the best drummers (and guitar players!Tony's performance is
excellent as usual.His influences are showing as they
always do.Those classic Possessed sounds come through
loud and clear.Vital Remains are still around to set the
standard for pure Satanic death metal!Mother always warned you about.No, this is
one full force slap across God's face.And then Vial
Remains does it again.Remains with his demonic spewing voice is Glen Benton
(Deicide).It seemed like this one was never going to be released.The only weak part of this album
is the drums.In my opinion they come through far too high in the mix.It's Glen Benton week here at Metal Judgment.Vital Remains efforts past, while adding a high level of
melodic sophistication.You probably will be too.My only complaint is with some of
the production choices.It's almost like the death metal equivalence of
Jason Newsted joining Voivod.Chris Barnes joining Skinless, or
David Vincent doing vocals for Dying Fetus.That's right boys and girls, the front man of
Deicide himself.Together this unholy trinity unleashes a
devastating, blasphemous metal assault.Devour this disc, then spread the blasphemous word like
