CD!Even though Werner John has been making a living as a classically trained musician since 1980, he didn't come to the Native American flute until 1992.When John bought his first Native American flute it only took him a few minutes to learn the scale, since he was fluent in other woodwinds.Several hours after first picking up the flute, John went for a walk in the woods.During this walk he heard an amazing cry which stopped him in his tracks.The CD Cedar Song, released in 1996, was John's first experience in creating music for the Native flute.Several of the CD's songs are solo flute improvisations, and the others are composed pieces for flute, keyboard and drum.As John was settling down with the new feeling that the Native flute brought into his life, he kept hearing others comment about how Cedar Song was great for meditation, yoga, and massage.Werner John on solo Native
