2.The quartet debuted singing at producer Jermaine Dupri's birthday party in 1991, and were later signed by Dupri to his label, So So Def Recordings.They released their debut album, Hummin' Comin' at 'Cha, in October of 1993.Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.The singles, "Tonight", "Understanding", and '"Love on My Mind'" were also released.In July of 1995, Xscape released their second album, Off the Hook.Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.Three singles, "Feels So Good'", "Can't Hang", and "Do You Want To", followed.During the three years, the group occasionally appeared on soundtracks, and made cameos on MC Lyte's Keep On Keepin' On, and Mariah Carey's "Always Be My Baby (So So Def Remix)".In May of 1998, Xscape released their third album, Traces of My Lipstick, and released the singles, "The Arms Of The One Who Loves You", "My Little Secret", "Am I Dreamin", and "Softest Place on Earth".After the release of this album, the group parted ways.After a five year hiatus, sisters LaTocha and Tamika Scott reunited with Tameka "Tiny" Cottle, and added a new member, Kiesha Miles, to release a new album entitled, Unchained.They released the single, "What's Up".She has written, produced, and arranged four songs for and is featured as a solo artist on the Tyler Perry movie soundtrack, Daddy's Little Girls.LaTocha Scott

a9AdsViewNamespace.Click on a tag to find related items, discussions, and people.Why not be the first to suggest a search for which it should appear?See all 278 customer reviews...Anthony Rupert "shut up, Shut Up, SHUT UP!!!"Xscape, but their debut album was good, and "Feels So Good", this album's first single, really caught my attention.But it certainly was in THIS case.There weren't many female groups around back in '95, so Xscape didn't have much competition (if any).Jermaine Dupri spun out great production in jazzy tracks like "What Can I Do" and "Love's A Funny Thing"."Feels So Good" is something everyone can enjoy even though it's technically geared toward the ladies, but then there's the playful "Can't Hang" that has them challenging the men...For those listeners looking for ballads like "Understanding" on here, you're in luck.The Jones Girls' "Who Can I Run To".I'm not sure if the last track, "Keep It On The Real", is a song on an outro, because it sounds like a lengthened version of the intro, "Do Your Thang".But that doesn't ruin the song, and it definitely doesn't ruin the album.Xscape's follow up was released back in the fall of 1995 when I was in eight grade.Who Can I Run To but there were other killer slow jams like Work Me Slow and Do You Want To.Was this review helpful to you?Xscape hails from Atlanta and recorded this album while on SoSo Def Records.They got the name "Xscape" from a hair salon that they frequent in Atlanta.Their harmony is a very good one and they had a successful career.They are quite sexual on this album, which is fine, because they are definitely tasteful.An example of this being "Work Me Slow"."Who Can I Run To" is just beautiful.LaTocha does a great job leading the group in this song.The song is a ballad and received a lot of airplay; music listeners loved it.She does have a nice voice, but so does the rest of Xscape.All in all I really like this album and I would say to potential buyers, go ahead and invest in this one, it's a keeper.Was this review helpful to you?See all 19 customer reviews...This CD is good but not as good as the previous one.Still, a good one to have for the collection.Xscape didn't really make me a fan until they broke up.XSCAPE Does It Again!Sophomore Jinx, please, I think not."Off The Hook", the sophomore album from these blended harmonies.It didn't have any singles that said You Have To Have This Album.This is Xscape's sophmore album it is just as good as the others it has a lot of wonderful songs on here .Published on June 6, 2004 by A.Xscape Never Disappoints
